Start 2009 with a List Building Blitz
Welcome back!
I think this one is going to be good. I’ve had some success with giveaways in the past, the best adding nearly 400 subscribers to my list. Sure there will be a lot of freebie seekers hitting this, they always do on giveaways but building the relationship will bring out a certain percentage on your side.
There are also some cash prizes up to $1000 for the most referrals which is a nice incentive. Not only that, but there are other prizes to be won for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and even 5th place!
When you join up as a contributor you will be asked to upgrade for $47 – this gives you 100 points which you can exchange for uploading a report/ebook (get viral people) or whatever you want to give away. You can exchange points for banners which display around the site or special offers that are offered to users logging in on a rotational basis.
I’ve been involved in a few of these, some bad, some completely confusing, this looks like one of the best I’ve seen and Guido Nussbaum, co-promoter, has been involved in the better ones.

Hi Jerry and fellow students,
Love your blog, Jerry. Great work. Thanks for all of the cool tips.
LISTEN, EVERYONE PAY ATTENTION! I have a terrific Christmas present for all of you. Terrific is an understatement. This will most definitely be the greatest Christmas present you will recieve this year! I guarantee it. It’s worth $4,000! Yes, not a typo.
Everyone get over to my blog ASAP at http://www.marklucianoonline.com and read the posts from Dec.16th and Dec.18th. Don’t wait even one second or you will miss this. It isn’t going to be there for long, and I want all of my fellow students to get this NOW!
Tell all of our fellow students about this, but nobody else please. If you wait you’ll be very angry when you see what you missed out on.
I just wanted to view your site and introduce myself as a fellow Alex student. I am new to internet marketing and can use all the help I can get. I have added you to my blogroll.

Just introducing myself as a fellow student
of Alex and would like to compliment you on your blog.
It’s really professional. Did you learn all that in
the 30Day Challenge?
I’ve made a list of all the other students on my site, not
on the blogroll but as a separate page. You’re on
there so you might want to pop over some time.
Best wishes and good luck.

Hi Jerry,
Thanks for the info about the problem I had yesterday with text in Animoto.
I have another question for you and this one is causing me an even bigger headache ! I upgraded my WP platform to 2.7 the other day.
when you upload photos to a blog post you are taken to a different page. The problems start for me when I click to upload the picture to the post, the dammed page just stalls, very frustrating. Can you think of an alternative way of me getting photos into my posts and totally bypass this annoying procedure ?
All the best,
Paull

Hi Jerry
Thank you for dropping by my blog and leaving some really excellent advice. I really like your strategy of using free giveaways competition to get more subscribers and am really impressed that you have nearly got 400 subscribers from one giveaway promotion – top stuff.
All the best and looking forward to more of your posts
Best Regards
Nigel
@Mark@Jean@Peggy@Thomas – thanks v much – ive added you to this blog as it’s related more to this project
@Paul – I’m not on 2.7 but is there a non flash uploader option? otherwise the only other way is to upload the image to the server and specify path in html or ‘from url’ in that window. Not ideal i know. Again as im not on 2.7 im not sure what has changed – but i’ll upgrade on a test blog i have and have a look.
I’m heading out the door very soon for a client’s xmas dinner but will do this tomorrow
@Nigel thanks yes the good giveaways can be benefical although there’s a lot of trashy ones out there.
Hi Jerry
Thanks for popping over and saying hello, cool looking blog you got here.
I have also added you to my student blog roll.
